NFL Week 5 Picks

By Scott Burks
Here are my prompt picks for Week
5 in
the NFL.
Drumroll please...
Game of the Week:
New England Patriots at
Denver Broncos. This game should validate two things: the Patriots
road to invincibility and the Broncos as a legit playoff contender. I
must say, I am impressed with the Broncos. Their win over a talented
(and troubled) Cowboys team made me take notice of the Broncos' ascent.
Having said that, I'm still not convinced (lol). I just do not see the
Broncos' D shutting down Tom Brady and the Patriots offense. Plus, I
do not think that Broncos coach Josh McDaniels can match wits with Patriots
coach Bill Bellicheat. If they do, then I'll start giving the Broncos
mad props. Unfortunately for Broncos fans, I just don't see it.
Patriots 24, Broncos 19.
Upset of the Week:
Tennessee Titans over the Indianapolis
Colts. While the Titans have been a HUGE disappointment this
season, look for them to redeem themselves against the Colts. Not only
do the Titans match up well against the Colts, the Titans will be playing at
home and it's a prime time game (Sunday night). The Titans fare well
against the Colts, and while the win probably won't turn their season
around, I think the Titans will use this game as a rallying cry of sorts.
Other Sunday Games:
Panthers over Redskins
Steelers over Lions
Bengals over Ravens (big game in the AFC North)
Cowboys over Chiefs
Giants over Raiders
Vikings over Lambs (Rams)
Eagles over Buccaneers
49ers over Falcons
Cardinals over Texans
Jaguars over Seahawks
Monday Night Game:
Jets over Dolphins
